In this hand-building course, students will learn the basics of working with clay to create a variety of forms. We'll cover the fundamentals of coiling, pinching, slab forming, and attaching clay to create mugs, bowls, vases, etc. Some decorative techniques with underglaze will also be practiced, such as sgraffito and inlay. Up to 5 pieces of work are included in this class - additional pieces are 6¢ cubic inch. Clay is included in the class, and additional clay may be purchased for $22-$27 per 25lb bag. All tools are provided, as well as aprons! Prerequisite: None! Beginners welcome.
Cancellation Policy
Classes/workshops are 100% refundable up to 2 weeks before the start date. Classes/workshops are 50% refundable up to 1 week before the start date. After that, it is non-refundable. We reserve the right to cancel a class/workshop due to low enrollment or for other necessary reasons.
