What It's About
In this workshop, students will have the opportunity to create a nerikomi style plate and tumbler combo. Participants will then get to add layers of 2-3 different colored clays to the surface of their piece to create any pattern or effect they want. This will create a varied surface with different clay tones. We will also discuss different ways to layer clay to create striped effects, how to attach clay together to create more depth in the piece, as well as how to add texture if that is desired. Students will make up to two pieces in this workshop! (one small plate and one tumbler set is possible.) All work will be glazed in a food safe clear glaze to show off the colors of the various clays used! An email will be sent out letting students know that their work is ready for pick-up 3-4 weeks after the date of the workshop.
Cancellation Policy
Classes/workshops are 100% refundable up to 2 weeks before the start date. Classes/workshops are 50% refundable up to 1 week before the start date. After that, it is non-refundable. We reserve the right to cancel a class/workshop due to low enrollment or for other necessary reasons.
